{"id":263,"date":"2010-04-17T17:22:57","date_gmt":"2010-04-17T22:22:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.practicalgrace.org\/daily\/?p=263"},"modified":"2010-04-17T17:22:57","modified_gmt":"2010-04-17T22:22:57","slug":"grace-and-justification","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.practicalgrace.org\/?p=263","title":{"rendered":"Grace and justification"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you have time,\u00a0consider watching\u00a0John Piper&#8217;s recent address at <em>Together for the Gospel.<\/em> The conference was on the &#8220;unadulterated Gospel,&#8221; and Piper particularly looked at imputed righteousness &#8212; is it what Jesus taught, or only Paul?<\/p>\n<p>That might sound heady&#8230; but I appreciate how it is so impacting to practical living, to get the foundations of faith right.<\/p>\n<p>I particularly was impacted by how Jesus does not justify the one who is <em>thanking God for righteousness based in himself. <\/em>This is not legalism, but a trust in your own righteousness, even righteousness that you trust God has given you. Wow.
